This stunning tropical print features a beautiful mermaid and sea turtle. The mermaid’s hair flows, further giving the feeling of gentle underwater currents. Sunbeams break through the water’s surface only to cast a bright and warm, almost divine glow over the sea turtle as the creature is touched by the angelic mermaid and appears to be somehow mended by her. Shaw has spent time in the Hawaiian Islands swimming with and around Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles.

Shaw’s wife inspired this mermaid print and the mermaid is painted in her likeness . He has always admired her compassion and her “healing touch” when treating sick and injured animals. Neil will never forget what she has done for him and remains forever grateful for her friendship, caring and love. 

The original is 36”x36” oil on canvas. It was digitally replicated in high definition. The image is then sprayed onto fine art canvas and paper during the Giclee (pronounced, “gee-clay”) print process. This makes for a very remarkable print quality, which is hard to tell from the original. These tropical prints are available in the full-sized 36x36 signed, limited edition Giclees on canvas as well as other smaller sizes.
