The “Turtle
Aquabatics” tropical print is a fanciful look at the underwater world of the Hawaiian Sea Turtle.
Artist Neil Shaw observes that the Sea Turtle’s design, shape and mode of travel are very aerobatic
in nature. In this tropical print, Shaw points out this observation by painting three sea turtles
in a “follow the leader” formation, while they gracefully bank into a swooping turn. By composing the painting
a certain way, Shaw gives the illusion of movement, or time lapse, with regard to the turtles’ relationship to each
other.
This beautiful sea turtle tropical print would brighten the walls of many tropical art
enthusiasts. The original is 36” x 36” oil on canvas. It was digitally replicated in high definition.
The image is then sprayed onto fine art canvas and paper during the Giclee
(pronounced, “gee-clay”) print process. This makes for a very remarkable print quality, which
is hard to tell from the original. These tropical prints are available in the full-sized 36x36 signed,
limited edition Giclees on canvas as well as other smaller sizes.
